SeaWorld, the Sky Art Gallery, a Wax Museum and finally a river cruise all in a single day with the help of a simple mobile app! Thanks to Seoul Travel PASS application I got to experience some of Seoul¡¯s main attractions, joining the fun experience with a group of foreigners just like me. The Seoul Travel PASS app is the best way to travel in Seoul, giving you the chance to try out over 30 ¡®must-do¡¯ tourist attractions at a discounted price. You can download the app for free on your mobile and it includes everything you need to know about travelling with in Seoul. It has tickets for city tours, coupons and package deals all within the app, even including an offline Seoul subway.
After my great day out, meeting new people and visiting new places I highly recommend this application. Since the app allows prepaid admission into the attractions, we saved time waiting in line and avoided any confusion their might otherwise be when trying to gain entry. This is because this app is specially catered for foreigners, so after making your order on the app you can either print out the QR PASS or download it onto your phone. Once you do this you merely have to show the QR PASS in order to gain entry. The application comes in three languages: English, Japanese and Chinese and is very clear and easy to navigate on screen.
Not only are you saving time, you are also saving money. You can save up to 50% on some deals and no matter how many attractions you decide to do, you will always save on each one. Once you purchase an attraction ticket or coupon from Seoul Travel PASS, it is valid for up to 60days, giving you time to plan your trip or postpone it if necessary. Another cool function that I appreciated is that the app gives you all of the most popular attractions in Seoul. Therefore you will find new stuff that you didn¡¯t realize was available. Some places you can go with the Seoul Travel PASS are Aqua Planet Island, Hongdae Banji Village and Kimchi World.
Our group visited the 63City Big 3 package coupled with the ferry cruise on the Han River. It was convenient to do both, as they were a walking distance from each other. The 63City package included the top three attractions in 63City of the Sky Art, SeaWorld and the Wax Museum. 63City is a skyscraper located in Yeouidonaru with sixty three floors. It was once the tallest building in the world and remains today as the tallest building covered in gold plating. It is a landmark in Seoul, overlooking the beautiful Han River and has many different attractions inside. We got to go straight to the front of the line gain entry to the Big 3 package.
First was SeaWorld which was an amazing aquarium with the works. To name a few were penguins, seals, sharks, otters, hundreds of different fish and even some unique species of snakes. After that we headed to the Wax Museum where we got to see famous faces from all corners of the earth. Including faces from thousands of years ago with a scene depicting the Last supper. The most thrilling feature was walking through the horror section. This was a dark path giving you the occasional fright with famous horror villains in life like scenarios at the end. Lastly we visited the 60th floor with the elevator giving us an amazing view of the Han River and beyond during the ride up. The floor itself was a 360⁰ view of Seoul city, which from such a height made a bucket list experience. The 60th floor also held a gallery with stunning artwork. Through all of this there were many places to go shopping and even a large food court.
After lunch we headed down the road to the Han River. Again we cut waiting times and got our tickets right away for the ferry. The cruise took us along the river for a good half an hour to one end then turned around and headed back, totalling an hour. Time flew as you got to go upstairs in the open and enjoy the beautiful river and the spectacular sights of Seoul. Speakers on the ferry spoke to you in English about each of the landmarks seen along the way and if you wanted to sit and relax, the inside had comfortable seats and air conditioning.
All-in-all the day was a great one and I felt like we achieved a lot in a single outing. The Seoul Travel PASS made it easier for us foreigners to get around and experience these attractions that we otherwise may have found complicated. The app is definitely worth the free download at least, and you can play around with it and check out what it has to offer. Like I said, you may discover events you didn¡¯t realize existed. Thanks to the team at Seoul Travel PASS for an awesome day out! I will be looking forward to using this app in the future to experience more great places in Seoul. ^^
